From Leanne Keefer Bechdel - an interesting up-coming celebration will be held in Mifflinburg, PA. with the organizing of a new chapter C.A.R.
Thanks to Preservation Mifflinburg for granting use of the Historic Frederick Gutelius Home, they are most proud to be the only C.A.R. (Children of the American Revolution) chapter in the state with a home base!
Officers of the newly organized Regina Hartman C.A.R. Chapter will be sworn in on Wednesday July 22nd at 1:00 PM at the Gutelius Home at the corner of Green and 5th Streets in Mifflinburg, Pa. They plan to honor several DAR local chapter members (one will be 90) who were also in the C.A.R.
A picnic style deli sandwich lunch will follow the ceremony on the lawn of the Gutelius home. DAR, SAR, CAR and local living history persons are welcome, in united force, all to be upstanding for a love of Country, Flag and local history.
The Regina Hartman C.A.R. chapter is sponsored by Shikelimo Chapter of DAR
